What started as a well-intentioned, if not well-informed, effort to Stop the Spread has become the last stubborn form of Compliance Theatre to show that you a) Take covid seriously b) Aren't an anti-vaxxer (although it was "cool" to be an anti-vaxxer just a few years ago, ask Jenny McCarthy) c) Believe the science and most importantly d) Are compliant with The WHO, Dr. Birx, the CDC, Tony Fauci MD, and whomever or whatever other organization knows better than you do.

If these august bodies were to tomorrow declare The End of Masking for Asymptomatic Individuals, how many hospitals, government buildings, and outpatient healthcare facilities would listen and allow individuals To Choose whether to mask up or not.

Until then healthcare workers, government employees, and patrons of these facilities will Mask Up to Stop the Spread until they leave and head to Target or go pick up their kids from school when they can Unmask because, it's safe there.
