Tom Petty died today October 2nd, 2017. He was 66.
Petty was founder of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Mudcrutch. He also was a member of the Traveling Wilbury’s alongside Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, and George Harrison.
Throughout his career Petty was wary of corporate influence on music in relation to prices for music and control of artists.
