Chris Cornell died Wednesday May 17, 2017 after a concert in Detroit. The singer who is best known as vocalist, founder, and songwriter for Soundgarden and later, Audioslave, apparently took his own life by hanging. He was 52.
One of the first songs I ever remember hearing from the ‘Grunge Era’ was ‘Under the Bridge’ by the Chili Peppers and another was ‘Hunger Strike.’
Here is a video of Cornell teaming up with former Temple of the Dog bandmate Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam in 2011 to perform Temple’s 1991 hit “Hungerstrike.”
