Kiss of Death: The Cheney Endorsement

cheney-jan-6-commission

There was a time when Liz Cheney was a stalwart conservative, but lately she's been sort of a reverse King Maker. Every endorsement she makes turns to…well not gold for sure.

Liz's luck started to turn bad soon after she peaked as the Face of the Opposition on the Kangaroo Court known as the January 6th Commission aka Committee to Save Our Democracy™.

The first reverse Midas Touch she placed was on herself. As the incumbent at-large Congressional representative in Wyoming, where her father is the most famous politician in its history, she had a huge built-in advantage over her primary opponent, Harriet Hageman.

But something strange happened on the way to reelection. Liz started to believe the reports she was reading in The NY Times and Washington Post that were calling her a beacon of courage for standing up to Orange Menace Donald Trump. She started to believe that having big-time Lefties donating to your Wyoming campaign would help. And so when it came down to election time, of course, the Trump-backed Hageman beat Cheney like a proverbial rented mule.

Cheney-Hageman Race

But being of plucky Cheney stock, Liz was undeterred. Post-election whipping Cheney continued to rail against Orange Man Bad promising to bring Trump down no matter what political fallout came her way. You see, Saving Our Democracy™ means that sometimes you have to sacrifice your own career if it means ridding the world of MAGA.

But lo and behold the newly crowned champion of the Left, Liz Cheney, doesn't have much to offer in terms of political clout. She spoke proudly of never voting for a democrat before but said she would do it in Arizona. What happened? Well Kari Lake, the news anchor turned MAGA AZ Gov. candidate, has opened up a huge lead over her opponent Katie Hobbs.

After Cheney came out west and endorsed the Democrat Secretary of State Katie Hobbs for AZ governor, her candidacy immediately tanked. This coincided with a record cash haul by Lake, who up until recently had been trailing Hobbs in the polls. Coincidence? Perhaps, but one thing is for sure if I were running I wouldn't want Cheney anywhere near my campaign.

Rut-Ro!

That explains the look of resignation on Slotkin's face. She knows that where Liz goes, so goes the stench of failure and pure political hackery that now engulfs her being. She draws GOP voters to the polls in droves—to vote against Democrats.

Liz isn't done destroying Democrats chances though.

Bye-bye Tim!

Congrats Mark and Kari!

There is still time for Liz to work her magic though.

Dr. Oz seems to be on the verge of a win over the stroke-impaired Lt. Governor Fetterman, but who couldn't use a little cushion?

Gen. Don Boldoc has pulled even with Maggie Hassan in the NH Senate race, but bringing in Liz could make a tie a blow-out.

Lee Zeldin has Gov. Kathy Hochul calling in the Big Guns to help out in her NY Guv race. Wouldn't it be nice if Liz threw her full-throated support behind Hochul as well. That would insure a GOP governor in New York for the first time since George Partaki who left office in 2006.

Liz Cheney, it's up to you to make the Red Wave a Tsunami. You can do it!
